Usher's OFFICIAL statement:

USHER IS GAY!! SORRY LADIES...

I feel that it's time for me to keep it real with my fans. I've been under close scrutiny from so many people. People examining my life and looking inside of me. It's tough living in this fish bowl. As an artist and as a man that I need to be upfront with my fans and I do feel in this point in time, in my life and my career, I don't think it will hurt me because I am a universal superstar and I know they will accept me for who I am and what I am. I just wanna say to all my fans thanks for all the support and the love. My sexuality is not of importance. Yes I have been involved with both genders but that doesn't take away from my massive fanbase and the talent that they have supported me with over the years. I appreciate my fans and thank you very much.

Yeah, I found this over at D*ana's Dirt. She thinks it's an April Fool's joke; but I've always thought he was gay anyway. So it doesn't matter.

Oh oh oh... I don't necessarily think Usher is 100% straight... he did have an ORGI in his hotel room a few months ago... but the thought of him actually coming out about it like that and releasing a statement is just never going to happen and that's the April Fool.

I admit I'm a little jealous that someone could have so much success in the music industry without ever learning to play an instrument. Usher's music is disco from hell.

But the reason I hope he turns out to be gay is not jealousy. It's IRONY.

I would actually develop some respect for this guy if he did come out. He would do such a service (no, not that kind) for a lot of African American men who feel like there is only one orientation that matches with our race. Many consequently lie to themselves and others about who they are. The ultimate consequence of this is the disproportionately high number of black women getting HIV.
